THERE was some excellent scoring in the Saturday Stableford Competition at Oake Manor Golf Club.

Samuel Turner maintained his fine form to score 43 points to win division 1 with Andy Avis coming second with 42 points while Dillon Watts was third with 41 points. James Wilkinson won division 2 with 43 points while Tim Dyke came second with 42 points and Daniel Moore was third with 37 points.

Jamie Hayman won the Sunday Stableford Competition, scoring 43 points with Andrew Gent in second place with 42 points and Chris Pratt in third place with 39 points.

On Sunday Oake held the annual Mixed Greensomes Competition for the Roffey Cup. Tamsin St George and Richard Clist were the clear winners with 46 points while in second place were Karen Potter and Darren Cornwall with 43 points while Ladies Captain Mary Beakes and Charles St George were third with 42 points.

There were no midweek competitions this week as the green keepers were carrying out annual green maintenance, hollow tinning and sanding all the greens.

Meanwhile, more than 120 golfers played a Stableford Competition for the Andrew Gadd Challenge Cup at Oake..

The first three players in division 1 all scored 40 points but on count back Samuel Turner was first, James Symons was second and Rob Larcombe came third.

Stephen Plowman won division 2 with 41 points, with Glyn Pearce in second place, also with 41 points, while Sam Briggs came third with 40 points.

Vic Burgos won division 3 with 42 points, the best score of the day, so winning the Andrew Gadd Challenge Cup. Tamsin St George was in second place with 39 points, the top lady, while Mukhtar Zaman was in third spot, also with 39 points.
