SOMERSET Council has applied for a closure of Holyoake Street in Wellington starting from the junction with Station Road, north-eastwards for a total distance of 133 metres.

The order has been put in place to enable Wessex Water to carry out essential sewer repair works with the road closed due to the likelihood of there being a danger to the public, or serious damage to the road.

The Order becomes effective on June 4 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on June 8 and last until June 14 between the hours of 8am until 5pm for a total of 7 days.
