MINEHEAD’S A team remain on top of the second division of the West Somerset Tennis League after victory over Wiveliscombe A.
Although Wiveliscombe have only racked up a couple of wins all season, and currently sit in the relegation play off place, they proved to be a formidable opponent for the league leaders, with the final score being 7-5 to Minehead.
It was a very different story for the other Minehead team in the division though, as Minehead B were blown away by Bridgwater C, who achieved a 10-0 victory over them, an impressive result for a team that is sat at the bottom of the table.
Other results across the other divisions include the a 10-0 victory to Wiveliscombe B over Taunton Vale A to solidify the team’s grasp at the top of Division Four.
Minehead D were also on the losing end of things in Division Five, suffering a 7-5 defeat to Trull E.
