PHILIP Porter won the Saturday Stableford Competition which was played at Oake Manor Golf Club with a superb score of 44 points. Martin Rivers was second in Division One with 42 points and Keith Cooper came third, also with 42 points.

In Division Two, Roy Smitheman was the winner with 42 points, while Ashley Evans came second with 39 points and Keith Phillips was in third spot with 38 points.

Simon Dyke won Division One of the Sunday Stableford Competition, scoring 38 points, Josh Gould came second with 37 points and Alfie Fardell was third with 36 points.

Daniel Payne won Division Two and was the overall winner with 40 points, which was the best score of the day, while Bob Perry came second with 37 points and Andy Gent was in third place with 35 points.

Kathy Salway won the Ladies Sunday Stableford Competition with 40 points, eight points ahead of Jane Clist in second place, who scored 32 points, while Janet Howe was third with 30 points.

Steve Cann won the Bank Holiday Monday Stableford Competition scoring 42 points, ahead of Callum Foster who came second with 40 points while Alexander Pearson was third with 39 points.

The weather for the Ladies Medal Competition on the Tuesday was very wet but a few ladies braved the conditions which did not seem to affect the Ladies Vic e Captain Mary Beakes who scored a nett 65, 11 shots ahead of second placed Angela Warnes on nett 76 while Liz Howe was third with nett 77.

Former Taunton Town footballer Owen Irish was the clear winner of the Friday Midweek Stableford Competition, scoring 38 points. Eamon Leigh came second with 34 points while Colin Dyke was third with 33 points.
