A BREAK in the atrocious weather has allowed a couple of competitions to be played at Oake Manor Golf Club.
On the Saturday David Rossillo scored an excellent 39 points to win the Saturday Stableford Competition with Shaun Antony in second place with 37 points while Ashley Gaines came third with 34 points, pushing Darren Cornwall, also 34 points, into fourth place on countback.
Stuart Coleman won the Sunday Stableford Competition with 36 points, James McAuley came second with 34 points while Adam Cornish was third with 32 points, relegating Paul Flay into fourth place, also with 32 points, on count back.
Then Monday came with torrential rain all day which closed the golf course and caused the River Tone to flood the road from Bradford on Tone to Oake, preventing access to the golf club from that direction. Happily, the weather has improved significantly for golf to resume.
