OAKE Manor Golf Club competitions have been running despite the very wet ground conditions which have affected the number of golfers taking part.

The course has been improved for wet weather golf by the green keepers constructing new buggy paths beside some fairways to reduce wear and tear in the wet conditions.

In the Sunday Stableford Competition, Philip Coleman overcame the course conditions to score an excellent 40 points, Steve Bird came second with 36 points while James McAuley was third in a close competition, also with 36 points.

In the ladies nine-hole Sunday Stableford Competition, Jill Loader was first with 13 points while Patricia Frazer came second with nine points and Kathryn Salway was third, also with the same number of points.

In the Weekend Bogey Competition where the competitors play match play against the course, Stuart Coleman did well to finish at +2, Mark Wolliscroft came second at +1, while Josh Winter was third, also at +1.
