MINEHEAD & West Somerset Golf Club Ladies section held their AGM last Thursday.

Captain Ginnette Bowyer thanked members for their support of regular charity competitions (RNLI, Red Cross and Leukaemic) as well as for her personal charity CLAPA (Cleft Lip and Palate Association), for which £500 had been raised.

Competitions secretary Jayne Fulwell announced that the team bowmaker competition of the day ‘Ginnette’s Final Fling’ had been won by Tricia Grinter, Kay Luckett and Gill Hurley.

Tricia Grinter had also won the Wimbush Bowl for the best aggregate net scores from last year’s medal competitions. The Eclectic prize for lowest aggregate scores, hole by hole, in all medals over the past year went to Jenny Elliott.

Handicap secretary Jenny Elliott presented the prestigious Most Improved Player trophy to Caz Cape.

Ginnette presented the new Lady Captain brooch to Pat Lucas.

Pat presented Ginnette with a token of appreciation from the members.
