MONDAY October 31 saw the seniors of Minehead and West Somerset Golf Club host their annual inter-club challenge trophy, with 96 golfers in teams of eight from 12 Somerset and Devon clubs plus one from Drayton Park, Tamworth taking part.

The pins, in some interesting positions, caused a few raised eyebrows and comments and was reflected in quite a few missed putts, but all agreed they had a great day, rounded off with a lovely meal.

Pictured is seniors captain Dave Chidgey presenting the trophy to Jeff Gibbs, captain of the winning Drayton Park team, who scored 166 points.

Second were Vivary Park (164) and third Long Sutton (163).
