MINEHEAD have signed Porlock goalkeeper Darren Sherring in time to play in tomorrow’s (Sat) home game against Winscombe in the first round of the Uhlsport Premier and First Division Cup (3p.m.).

He comes into the team because Minehead’s regular goalkeeper Carl Paige is unavailable.

“Porlock have no match this weekend, so we’re been able to sign him,” said Minehead boss Lee Todd.

Others missing from Minehead’s side tomorrow include Lewis Smith, Colin Bruford and Harvey Lovell.

Both Minehead and Winscombe play in the first division of the Somerset League with Winscombe lying seventh and Minehead 13th.

Meanwhile Watchet Town, who also play in the first division, have no match this weekend as they conceded their away tie against Clevedon United.
