THREE teams have unbeaten records with maximum points following the second round of matches in the Watchet & District Men’s Skittles League on Monday night, writes league secretary Alan Bulpin.

In their away match at the Wyndham Arms, the formidable Bell All Stars had Barry Jones top of the alley with 112 as they overcame Wyndham Pinheads by 45 pins, Sam Towells hitting 101 the home side.

Meanwhile, Shane Coxhead led Allsorts to a 23 pin home victory over Castaways, for whom Kevin Porter topped the alley with a fine 120.

White Horse Stallions’ Jos Bennett scored 100 as they completed the double over Railway Steamers with a 7 pin away win. Callum Tarr led the home team's scoring with 109.

There was to be no repeat of a Williton Club double as Q C Guys exacted revenge for last week's defeat with a 83 pin humbling, Michael Stout hitting 118 for the Guys while Darren Towels hit 104 for the Club side.

Bottoms up picked up their first points of the new season with a 16 pin away victory over Three Ferrets, both Ferrets Chris Adams and Ups Norman Glynn scoring 118. Highest Away Score: Tyrone Ash with 141 for Three Ferrets With two rounds of league matches completed in Division A, only two teams remain on maximum points.

At the Greyhound Inn, Barn Owls staged the first league skittles match for more than 25 years in the Watchet and District League, hosting Watchet Specials. A score of 89 from both Lewis Scrimger and Scott Nurton led the home side to an 80 pin success with Dave Perkins scoring 74 for the visitors.

Phoenix Knights made it two wins out of two after Liam Woolgrove hit 110 to lead them to a 22 pin victory over Dizzy’s Boys whose Mark Mossman topped their scoring with 96.

A top of the alley 102 from Haddon Hillbillies’ Ian Rottenbury brought them their first points of the season as they defeated Dungbeetles by 12 pins, Aaron Kendall scoring 98.

Ram’s Ollie Close and Desmond Seeley both knocked scores of 107 in their 29 pin away win over Footy Fockers who's Andrew Duffield also hit 107.

In the Tuesday night match at the Wyndham Arms between Wyndham Warriors and Has Beens, Mark Clausen scored 106 for the visitors but ended on the losing side as 104 from Martin Nurton gave the home side a four pin success to see them gain their first points of the campaign.
