ALCOMBE Rovers have announced that Managers’ Player of the Year Sam Harley has pledged his future to the club, further cementing the Rovers’ preparations for the 2026/27 season.

Harley has been a standout performer and a key part of the squad’s success over recent seasons.

His commitment is a major boost as the club continues to build towards another competitive campaign.

Manager Brian Hall said: “It’s imperative that we build on the strength and consistency we’ve shown over the last few seasons, and Sam has been a massive part of that.

“His commitment to Alcombe Rovers is a huge boost and helps cement our preparations for next season.

“Sam leads by example every time he pulls on the shirt. His attitude, work rate and quality are second to none, and he’s someone who sets the standards for those around him.

“Having our Managers’ Player of the Year commit again is fantastic news for everyone connected with the club and sends a strong message about our ambitions moving forward.”

The latest news follows the recent announcement that goalkeeper and Players’ Player of the Year Carl Paige has been retained for the 2026/27 season.

Hall said that Paige gad been a massive part of the the club’s consistency over the last few seasons.

“The fact he’s attracted interest from other clubs but has pledged his future to us for next season is huge for everyone connected with Alcombe Rovers.

“He’s not only an outstanding goalkeeper, but also a big character in the dressing room and someone the lads respect immensely.

“Having our Players’ Player committing again sends a strong message about where this club is heading.”

Alcombe will be looking to improve on their third place finish in the Taunton & District Saturday Football League Division One table last season.
