WEST Somerset football club Alcombe Rovers celebrated a fantastic winter at the club’s End of Season Presentation evening, recognising the hard work, commitment and achievements of everyone involved throughout the campaign.

The evening saw several players and club members honoured for their outstanding contributions during the season.

Awards included: Managers’ Players of the Season – Sam Harley & Charlie Disney; Players’ Player of the Season – Goalkeeper Carl Paige; Top Goal Scorer & League Golden Boot Winner – Nathan Collins; Clubman Award – Luke Badcock; Club Gilly Award – Club Captain Mike Grandon

Manager Brian Hall also paid tribute to secretary Milan Hill for her incredible support throughout the season, alongside fellow management team members Grant Hodgson and Luke Badcock for their hard work and dedication behind the scenes. He also thanked every player for their commitment and contribution across the year.

Reflecting on the season, Brian added: “We finished strongly third in Division One of the Taunton Saturday League and would have finished second if it wasn’t for the three-point deduction. However, there is still a strong chance of promotion, and that was always the club’s vision from the beginning of the season.”

The club also extended thanks to all sponsors for their valued backing throughout the year, especially main sponsors: Bar 21, Nichols & Son Plumbing and Fitness Station.

As attention now turns towards next season, Alcombe Rovers are urging players, volunteers and supporters from the local community to come forward and help support the club moving forward. With Alcombe Rovers approaching nearly 100 years of history, it is vital the club continues to grow and protect its proud legacy for future generations.

The club is particularly keen to strengthen its support team, both on and off the pitch, as it prepares for another important campaign.

A memorable evening capped off another proud chapter in the history of Alcombe Rovers Football Club.
