MINEHEAD AFC Falcons Under 13s have completed an extraordinary 2025/26 campaign by securing both the Taunton & District Youth League Division 1 title and the Knockout Cup, capping one of the club’s most memorable seasons in recent years.

Competing as a young squad in Division 1, the Falcons showed outstanding determination, resilience and teamwork throughout a challenging season that tested the character of every player involved.

Despite battling through a long injury list for much of the campaign, the team consistently rose to the occasion. Several matches were played with the bare minimum 11-player squad available, and on a couple of occasions the side even completed fixtures with only ten players on the pitch. Yet the commitment and spirit shown by the squad never wavered.

The Falcons finished the league season in emphatic style: 16 league matches played, 12 wins, 3 draws, 1 defeat, 100 goals, scored, only 29 goals conceded, 13 points clear at top of table.

Their attacking football, defensive discipline and relentless work ethic made them deserved champions and worthy cup winners.

A spokesperson for Minehead AFC said: “We couldn’t be prouder of what this group of players has achieved this season. They’ve shown incredible heart, commitment and togetherness from start to finish. To win both the league and the knockout cup while overcoming so many challenges along the way is a fantastic achievement for every single player, coach and supporter connected with the team.”

The coach would also like to thank the players whose effort, attitude and dedication made this unforgettable season possible: Oscar Cox, Jack Lomax, Olly Hill, Seb Matcham, Charlie Ely, Jake Ely, Arthur Hill, Barney Langdon, RJ Manu, Oakley Murch, Frankie Cox, George Gardner, Luke Bennett, Roman Davies.

Minehead AFC congratulates the squad on a historic double-winning season and looks forward to seeing this talented group continue to develop in the years ahead.
