MINEHEAD Second XI made the long trip to play against their North Perrott counterparts in Division Three of the Somerset Cricket League - and came away with an eight wicket victory.  After putting the hosts into bat the Minehead bowlers were soon on top led by James Davis who claimed one of the openers without a run on the board. Davis snapped up a second wicket before Lewis Goodrum struck to reduce Perrott to 27 for four. Lower in the order Kevin Smith hit 23 and Monty Bult 30 to see the home side to 95 before they were all out for 95. Pick of the bowlers was Goodrum with three for 29 while there were two each for Davis, Ricky Lewis and Jack White. When Minehead replied they lost Vishnu Kombath for 14 before Jonah Hopkins and Andrew Stevens took the total onto 74 when Hopkins was out for 50 which came off 57 balls with nine fours. Stevens was then joined by James Griffiths and the pair stayed together to see the visitors to 99 without further loss in the 21st over. Stevens ended not out 20 and Griffiths on 13.
