PHILIP Marsh and seniors’ captain Nicholas Mitchell were the winners of the senior section’s Pairs Better Ball Stableford competition at Oake Manor Golf Club, with 43 points.

Richard Crouch and Andy Stevenson were second with 41 points while Mike Sheppard and Meredith Collins were third, also with 31 points.

On Tuesday the Ladies played a qualifying medal competition for the Dickenson Cup for lower handicap ladies. Jenny Musgrove was the winner with nett 68 with Pam Akers second on nett 69 while Helen White came third with nett 72.

During this competition Ladies competition secretary Amanda Mather enjoyed a hole in one on the 136 yard 10th hole. Well done Amanda.

Also on Tuesday the ladies played a qualifying Stableford competition for the Barlow Cup for higher handicap ladies. Judy Phripp won division 1 with 35 points while Daphne Priddy came second with 32 points and Julie Cross was third, also with 35 points. Anne Goodwin won division 2 with 35 points with Mary Wood in second place with 33 points and Catherine Drysdale third, also with 33 points.

Antony Date won the Wednesday Midweek Stableford, scoring 40 points with Logan Thomas coming second with 39 points while Jamie Tong was third also with 39 points.

Last week the Ladies played a 4 ball better ball competition sponsored by Titliest. The runaway winners with a superb score of 45 points were Amanda Mather and Karen Grabham. Nancy Marshal and Pat Snelling came second with 36 points while Daphne Priddy and Catherine Drysdale were third also with 36 points.

In Last week’s Wednesday Midweek Stableford Tom Adams scored an incredible 49 points to be the clear winner with Brett Rogers in second place with 41 points while Dean Packman came third with 40 points.
