THE annual Watchet summer beach clean and litter pick is returning in mid-July.

Hosted by Plastic Free Watchet, a Surfers Against Sewage Plastic Free Community, the beach clean will take place at 11am on Saturday, July 12, on the slipway at West Street Beach.

Those wanting to join are asked to wear suitable clothing and gardening gloves (litter pickers and sacks will be provided), to help gather rubbish from on the beach and around the town.

After an hour of gathering, the rubbish will be sorted and participants will have the chance to enjoy free drinks and cakes.

Plastic Free Watchet works with businesses, local councils, community allies and individuals in the town and across West Somerset as part of the wider Plastic Free Communities in West Somerset group.
