A MINEHEAD man has appeared in Taunton Deane Magistrates Court 19 months after damaging a car wing mirror in an incident in the town’s Alexandra Road.

James Luxon, aged 35, of Hopcott Road, pleaded guilty and was given a six months conditional discharge when he appeared before the magistrates on Friday (July 31).

Three other alleged offences arising from the same incident on December 21, 2024, were discontinued by chairman of the bench Matthew Evans.

Prosecuting solicitor Fleur Bullivant said the value of the damage was unknown.

Mr Evans said he had taken into consideration the guilty plea entered by Luxon, who was represented by solicitor Bill Gayer.

He said he would not make an order for compensation to be paid because it would be inappropriate in the circumstances.
