WHITE Horse Stallions are clear leaders of Division A in the Watchet & District Skittles League after an alley topping 113 from Jos Bennett led them to a 64 pin home win over Outsiders whose Adrian Roberts hit 102

The previous joint leaders Rebels had Nev Weir scoring 110 as they slipped to a 29 pin home defeat to Railway Steamers who had Cameron Munro knocking an impressive 120.

In a match of two differing halves Williton Club, with Alan Bland hitting 103, collapsed to a 18 pin home defeat to relegation threatened Dark Horses, Phil Trunks knocking 104 for the winners.

A top of the alley 111 from Premier Division pacemakers Bell All Stars Adam Taplin ended on the losing side as Steve Bosley hit 103 for Jack securing a 16 pins home victory. Stars now have a 7 point lead going into the final six matches.

A solid knock of 128 from second placed Allsorts Ian Clapp secured the points as they ran out 40 pin victors against struggling Hungerford Harriers whose Cliff Matravers scored 116.

In Division B, top of the table Barn Owls had Scott Nurton and Tom Andrews both scoring 109 as they move ever closer to the title after their 31 pin home victory over third placed Wyndham Pinheads whose Ian Whitehead hit 104.

Second placed Dungbeetles Paul Cloudsdale hit 99 as they lost ground on the leaders, losing their home match against Badgers by four pins, James Keogh hitting 101. A creditable knock of 122 from Footy Fockers Wayne Bousfield ended on the losing side as Roger Polsom and Mike Heard with 112 apiece helped Quantock Stags to a narrow eight-pin success and a noteworthy knock of 100 from Legion Specials Dave Perkins brought them their first away win of the season, recording an 11 pin victory over stablemates Dizzys Boys who had Pete Mather scoring 93.
