TWO young cricket fans from Minehead had the thrill of their young lives when they helped out with the 12th man duties at Max Waller’s recent testimonial match between his Somerset Legends team and Somerset T20 Champions XI.
Rylee (aged ten) and Raurie Tudball, who is five, were given special shirts to undertake their duties and during the course of the match that took place at Taunton Vale Sports Club the pair of them met all of the players, sat with them and carried out the drinks.
Proud grandfather Stuart said: “The boys loved it and they got treated so well by the players and everyone who was involved in what was a thoroughly enjoyable occasion.”
The two young Tudball boys are following in the footsteps of their Uncle Charlie who acted as 12th man back in 2005 when Somerset beat Australia on that never to be forgotten day.
