MINEHEAD Tennis Club have announced the appointment of Aaron Flamson as their new head coach.

Aaron has more than 30 years experience, working as a coach around the world and is now looking forward to helping the club grow both its adult and Junior membership.

He has recently returned from working in Cyprus where he developed and implemented a programme for Junior players from all over the world. Aaron is an enthusiastic, inspiring and dedicated LTA Level 4 coach.

His key belief of the importance of inclusivity in tennis means that with his motivational approach everyone, regardless of age, fitness or skill level, can achieve whatever goals they aspire to; from playing competitively, to improving fitness or simply for fun, being part of a club and making friends.

There will be coaching sessions running at Minehead for all ages and abilities. Group junior and senior coaching sessions will take place during the week and Saturday mornings.

For those interested in improving tennis skills or working on fitness, individual lessons are available during the week and weekends.

Aaron will be based at Minehead Tennis Club but will be offering coaching opportunities for juniors at Watchet Tennis Club and various local schools.

On Saturday, 13th September, Minehead Tennis Club will be holding an Open Day where children and adults can participate in some fun, free activities and coaching sessions which will give them the opportunity to see what the club has to offer and whether tennis might be something they would like to begin or get back into.

The club also offers support to new or returning players via Rusty Rackets run every Saturday afternoon.
