MINEHEAD resident and university lecturer Dean Allen recently completed the prestigious Cape Town Marathon in a time of four hours 30 minutes.

Dean, who has written a best-selling book in South Africa and spends a lot of time giving talks around the country, is an ex-Watchet Town footballer and a member of Minehead Running Club.
