WEEK three of the Premier Division in the Watchet and District Skittles League saw the highest scoring match so far this season when Allsorts hosted champions Bell All Stars, in which a total of 1,435 pins were felled.
Peter Horton hit a top of the alley 133 for the hosts while Barrie Jones, never far away from being one of All Stars’ top skittler, and Adam Taplin both scored 132 to see the All Stars clinch a three pin away win. Shane Coxhead 128 and Brian Bishop enjoyed notable knocks for Allsorts while Matt Robinson and Warren Knight both hit 120.
Archie and Craig Walsh both scored 107 for Q C Guys as they picked up their first points of the season with a 57 pin victory over Railway Steamers, Shane Yaw topping their scoring with 110. An outstanding score of 124 from Castaways’ Mike Lane brought about a 35 pin home win against Three Ferrets whose Tyrone Ash hit 112 and 101 from Jos Bennett helped White Horse Stallions to a 25 pin home success over Has Beens with John Wilkinson also scoring 101.
In a close fought match at the British Legion Brandon Walsh knocked 114 for Bottoms Up but 111 from Jacks Steve Bosley saw them to a narrow six pin victory.
The match between Rebels and Phoenix Knights was postponed and will be played over the Christmas break

In Division A, Wyndham Pinheads raced into a 21 pin half time lead in their away match against Williton Club and held on to win by 20 pins with Dan Biggs top of the alley with 108, Steve King took top spot for the Williton Club hitting 106.
Wayne Bousfield hit a respectable 125 for Footy Fockers as they triumphed by 82 pins in their home match against Rams, with Leigh Davis leading their scoring with 107.
Dizzy’s Boys’ Mark Mossman topped the alley with 109 as they defeated Haddon Hillbillies by eightpins, whose Ian Rottenbury scored 107.
On the challenging Kingshead alley Mike Mollett hit 94 for Barn Owls when leading them to an eight pin success over Watchet Specials, with Robert Whitehouse scoring 88 for the visitors. Paul Gunter scored 100 for Dungbeetles as they picked up a 39 pin away win over Wyndham Warriors whose Phil Trunks was their leading skittles with 98.
