BELL ALL Stars have finally lost a match in the Premier Division of the Watchet and District Skittles League.
Their unbeaten run of twenty games came to a halt this week when they lost by nine points in their home match against Castaways with Mike Lane hitting 109 for the visitors and Adam Taplin topping the alley, scoring 114 for the leaders.
Tyrone Ash hit 133 for Three Ferrets as they lost their home game against Bottoms Up by 2 pins with Nathan Glynn scoring 109 while Gus Milton scored 133 for Jack in their 107 pin success against Phoenix Knights for whom Chris Pople hit 109. White Horse Stallions’ Dan Scott scored 96 in the 11 pin home defeat to Rebels whose Barry Buckingham also hit 96. In Division A Barn Owls’ Lewis Scrimger scored an impressive 124 in the 23 pin away win against Williton Club whose Alan Bland hit 109 and Phil Perkins knocked 105 in Railway Steamers 39 pin home win over Combwich Otters skipper Dave Jones hitting 98 to see them into second place. A hand of 101 from Dungbeetles Leroy Ford helped them to a 14 pin away win over Outsiders whose Terry Hayes scored 94. Highest Away Score. Shane Yaw 135 Railway Steamers
In Division B Wyndham Pinheads remain in top spot after Andy Pegg with 102 led them to a 19 pin home win over Footy Fockers skipper Michael Shopland hitting a top of the alley 103, and a score of 104 from Steve Hobbs helped Quantock Stags to a 13 pin home win against Badgers, Garry Keogh and Mike Sheehan both scoring 89.
Wyndham Warriors’ Tony Megit scored 101 in the 44 pin win against Rams who had Desmond Sealy scoring 97 and a top of the alley 105 from Haddon Hillbillies Jeremy Andrews led them to a 17 pin victory over Legion Specials whose Simon Kidner hit 94.
