TOP of the table Minehead suffered a shock 3-0 defeat at home to bottom of the league Yate A on Saturday.

On a day where nothing came off for the home side, they slipped to second place in Central Division Two and will need a considerable improvement this weekend when they travel to fourth placed Bath Buccaneers.

Minehead A were thoroughly outclassed as they suffered a 5-0 defeat away to South East Division One leaders Chard, but they remain seventh in the table.

They face a tricky derby this weekend against third-placed Taunton Civil Service.

Minehead B 2

Minehead B were unfortunate to come out on the wrong side of 3-2 scoreline away to fellow strugglers Taunton Vale D in an entertaining encounter in South East Division Two.

On a frosty morning they adapted to the conditions quickly and took a deserved lead through Archie Marsh following an assist by brother Angus.

Vale responded to the early setback and levelled the scoring before taking a 2-1 lead just before half-time.

Minehead started the second half in the ascendancy and were rewarded with a fine individual goal from Callum Arnold to tie the scores at 2-2, but with both teams pushing for victory it was the home team who made the breakthrough, scoring late on to secure a 3-2 win.
