WIVELISCOMBE were at home to Bridgwater & Albion in the opening rugby event of the 26/27 season with a training session at Plain Pond, writes Roger Bellamy.

Both teams were well represented with good numbers in the forwards and backs. Players were briefed on any changes in the rules which would effect the game throughout the next season and were applied throughout the evening.

Wiveliscombe’s next pre-season game is away to a Exeter University fifteen with the seconds having a game against Tiverton seconds.

Wiveliscombe’s opening League game is on Saturday, 26th September, away to Okehampton in the Regional Two South West League .

Wiveliscombe’s two original opening league matches against Crediton and Winscombe will be rearranged later in the season.

Wivey seconds are home to Tor 2nds in their first league match of the season on the same day.
