MINEHEAD Barbarians will be looking to keep up the pressure at the top of Counties Two Somerset when they play away to Rebels Rugby on Saturday, February 7 (2.30p.m.).

Rebels Rugby have not enjoyed much luck since they moved their base from Taunton to Milverton in the summer and are bottom of the table, having won only two matches.

Minehead, on the other hand, are lying third in the table and turned on the style to beat Imperial 72-12 away last weekend. It was the first meeting between the teams this season and they play each other again at Minehead on Saturday, April 11.

Minehead will be chasing the season’s double over Rebels Rugby, having beaten their local rivals 39-26 at home in early October.

Minehead trail leaders Clevedon by nine points but have a crucial game in hand while they are only five points behind second-placed Burnham on Sea , both sides having played the same number of matches.

Clevedon are without a game on Saturday while Burnham on Sea are away to St Bernadettes Old Boys who are only one place below Minehead in the table
