FORMER player Lee Todd has been appointed manager of Uhlsport Somerset County League club Minehead

In a statement the club says: “Lee Todd has been appointed as first team manager and brings in with him Aaron Deeks as first team assistant manager and Lee Hardick as first team coach.

“These appointments mark an exciting new chapter for us as we continue to build on our values of creating Minehead AFC a special place for all involved, providing opportunities within the community as one club.

“Lee brings a wealth of experience to our club, having previously played over 250 games for Minehead and numerous games with other local teams within the West Somerset area, winning numerous trophies. In addition to his playing experience, Lee (Toddy) brings in managerial experience more recently with Alcombe Rovers in the Taunton Saturday League, where last year he led them to victory in the Gardner cup.

“We are also delighted to have on board Aaron (Deeksy) who also bring a wealth of playing experience having played at both Minehead AFC and Watchet FC at Western League and Somerset County level, being part of successful and winning teams. They will also be joined by Lee Hardick. Lee has been managing our Minehead Colts team this year and will join Toddy and Deeksy as First Team Coach.

On his appointment Toddy said “I am delighted to be given the opportunity to manage Minehead. This is a club I am very passionate about, a club I care about and I will be working as hard as I can to bring them success and meet the objectives the club has. I am delighted to be joined by Aaron and Lee who all bring a wealth of experience from local football. Together I am confident we can help the club continue its journey in moving forward on and off the pitch “
