BISHOPS Lydeard are through to the third round of the Taunton Youth League’s Under 13 KO Cup after a dramatic penalty shootout away to Staplegrove.

Grove and Lydeard fought out a goalless draw after extra time before Lydeard won 4-3 on penalties.

Following their victory Lydeard’s manager Carl Salter said: “We’ve got a brilliant team - both on and off the pitch. They play some fantastic football with great passing, and I’m sure they’ll continue this season the way that they’ve started.”
