MINEHEAD Barbarians produced the display of the day to beat 100 per cent leaders Taunton 41-17 at home in Counties Two Somerset yesterday.

It means Minehead remain unbeaten at home this season, having piled up more than 400 points in seven matches, averaging nearly 60 points a game.

"It was a great performance from the lads," said Minehead's head coach Mick Orton afterwards.

Jack White, Sam Chinn and James Day led the points spree with two tries each for the Babas who remain fifth in the table.

Despite their defeat Taunton are only six points behind leaders Chew Valley with two crucial games in hand.
