TIVERTON Foxhounds’ annual point to point, which was postponed on Sunday, January 24, will not be held this year.

The event at Chipley Park, near Milverton, had to be called off because the course was waterlogged.

But unlike last year when the point to point was also postponed because of heavy rain, no new date has been found,

Secretary Liz Dorze said: “We haven’t been able to find a new date in the point to point calender.

“It is so disappointing because a lot of work goes into setting up the event. But at the end of the day the forecast is not good and the point to point calender, particularly in March, is full.

“I would like to thank everyone, particularly our sponsors, for their support. Obviously we’re going to be out of pocket. But we will be back next year and there is a chance we might be able to alter the date.”
