A SCORE of 98 from Warren Knight ensured Bell All Stars progressed to the semi-finals of the Watchet & District Men’s Skittles League’s Front Pin Cup after defeating Railway Steamers by 58 pins whose Phil Perkins topped the alley with an impressive 107, writes Alan Bulpin.

Phoenix Knights’ Brandon Jones was another hitting a ton plus after he knocked 108 in their 50 pin defeat at the hands of Castaways, Steve Duck knocking 99.

Allsorts secured their semi-final spot after Peter Horton knocked 82 in the 19 pin success against White Horse Stallions for whom Eli Hayes scored 76. A score of 86 from Tyrone Ash ensured Three Ferrets made up the last of the semi-finalists after they recorded a 21 pin victory over Q C Guys whose Mark Norman hit 70.

In Group A of the second round of the Landlords Cup, Haddon Hillbillies’ Ian Rottenbury and Chris Govier both hit 99 in the drawn match with Footy Fockers whose Michael Shopland topped the alley with 103, both sides hitting 544.

Wyndham Warriors picked up their first win in this competition with a victory over Watchet Specials.

In Group B Dungbeetles made it two wins out of two after they defeated Rams by 39 pins, Aaron Kendall hitting 112 for the winners with Leigh Davis scoring 106 for Rams.

Sam Towells scored 106 for Wyndham Pinheads as they coasted to a 52 pin victory over Dizzy’s Boys, Bernie Woodbury hitting 92 for the boys.
