A few more passes and a short corner later Will Reed found the back of the net again.

Yeovil occasionally broke through to enter Minehead’s half of the pitch, but not for long and the ball soon returned back to their end as they kept up the pressure. Yeovil came back in the second half clearly determined to claw back some pride but Minehead continued to dominate, several missed opportunities finally led to a goal by Chris Gibbons which was shortly followed up by Will Reed making it a hat-trick for himself and securing himself man of the match.

A last-minute attack by Yeovil left keeper James 1 on 1 with their striker on the edge of the D, after a charge and a sweeping kick from James, Yeovil struck the ball sending it under his foot and into the goal resulting in a well-deserved 5 - 1 win for Minehead.

The newly promoted Men’s 1st’s fell to a dominant Yeovil & Sherborne 1st’s, losing 6-0. The West Somerset side are finding it tough going, having previously slumped 4-0 at home to Clifton Robinsons 5s in their opening match of the season

The 2’s hosted North Somerset 1’s and came out feisty 6-3 losers. With a depleted side due to players on first team duty, Will Pring made a timely return to pad out the midfield. A highly competitive match saw the hosts slip one then two behind despite keeper Fairbrother’s heroics, only to pull one back through Clegg.
