MINEHEAD’S Royal British Legion branch held its charity golf day at Minehead and West Somerset Golf Club and the 78 golfers who took part raised £783.11 for the legion.
Club captain Dorrian Bickerstaff and Geoff Pontefract were the winners on countback from Tim Dennis and Darren Kneeshaw after both pairs scored 46 points.
Third were M Nichols and G Whalley with 44 points.
The ladies’ winners were P Grinter and E Howie with 41 points.
