KEITH Cooper won the Sunday Stableford Competition at Oake Manor Golf Club, scoring 39 points. Alexander Pearson came second with 37 points while Adam Cornish was third, also with 37 points.

The Seniors Section played a Stableford Competition on Monday for the Grandad’s Cup. Peter Taylor won the trophy after bonus points were awarded for the number of grandchildren he had! Actual scores in division 1 were first Stephen Wilcox with 38 points, John Beer second with 37 points, Michael Bright was third, also with 37 points, and fourth Peter Taylor with 36 points. Trevor Cook won division 2 with 33 points while Mike Sheppard came second with 32 points and Patrick Francis was third with 31 points.

On Sunday Oake Manor Golf Club held the annual Autumn Mixed Greensomes Competition for the Roffey Cup. The competition was very close with the first three couples all scoring 41 points but, on countback, the winners were Janet Howe and Mike How with Jane Clist and Barry Roberts in second place while Karen Grabham and Darren Cornwall were third. Congratulations to Janet and Mike. All competitors enjoyed an Oake Manor Carvery after playing and before the prize giving.

The Ladies played a Medal Competition on Tuesday, with the overall winner being Nancy Marshal,l winning division 1 with a score of nett 69, Jane Clist came second with nett 71 while Suzanne Ward was third with nett 74. Pat Snelling won division 2 with nett 69, Sue Corlett came second with nett 70 while Rosalind Shepherd was third with nett 71.

Christian Hopwood won the Wednesday Midweek Stableford Competition at Oake with 40 points; Tom Lower came second with 38 points while David Jewell was third, also with 38 points.
