WIVELISCOMBE will be looking to maintain their five-point lead at the top of Counties One Western West when they play at home to bottom side Saltash on Saturday, February 21 (2.30p.m.).
The West Somerset side chalked up their 14th victory of the season when they beat St Ives 22-14 away last weekend. Their only defeat this season was way back in early September when they slumped to a 21-17 loss at Truro.
Wiveliscombe will be chasing another double this season, having won a thrilling match 36-35 at Saltash in October.
Paignton, in second place having played one more match than Wiveliscombe, play at home to Penryn who are lying in 11th spot.
Fixtures: Barnstaple v St Ives, Paignton v Penryn, Redruth v Truro, Wiveliscombe v Saltash.
Wiveliscombe 2nd XV, who are in ninth place in Counties Three Somerset South, have a tough away game against top of the table Tor who lead by eight points from second-placed Wells who have three matches in hand.
Fixtures: Martock v Crewkerne, Wyvern v Wells, Tor v Wiveliscombe.
Minehead Barbarians, who are third in Counties Two Somerset, are without a game on Saturday, February 21. The two teams above them, Burnham on Sea and Clevedon, also have blank Saturdays.
Minehead are ten points behind Burnham but have a game in hand on the leaders, while they trail second place Clevedon by four points, both sides having played the same number of matches.
Fixtures: Avon v Imperial, Keynsham v Oldfield Old Boys.
Minehead Barbarians 2nd XV, who play in Counties Four Somerset South, also have a blank weekend. Fixtures: Morganians v Somerton, Wells v Tor, Wincanton v Burnham on Sea.
*Rebels Rugby, who were bottom of Counties Two Somerset, have withdrawn from the division. They had been playing their games at Milverton this season, having moved from Taunton.
