THE Andy Parker Trophy saw a strong field of competitors at Oake Manor Golf Club.
The competition delivered tightly contested scores and a standout performance from this year’s winner. Paul Coleman (h14) emerged victorious with an outstanding nett score of 64, finishing three strokes clear of his nearest rivals.
David Wheeler (h10) and James Macey (h12) shared second place with excellent rounds of 67, both delivering solid performances that kept them in contention throughout.
A cluster of players followed closely behind, including Dave Hill (3) and Simon Hartstone (18), both carding 70, showing the depth of competition across the field. No fewer than six players tied on 71, Richard Shepherd (15), Richard Barker (4), Graham Salway (9), Michael How (8) and Rob Berry (13), underlining just how competitive the event was this year.
Despite narrowly missing out on top honours, all participants contributed to a great day of golf. A massive thank you to all the greenkeepers for the excellent condition the golf course is in! Congratulations once again to Paul Coleman on a well-deserved win!
Zachary Smith won the Sunday “Star Wars” Stableford with an excellent 41 points, Kevin Gratton came second with 39 points while Finley Pike was third with 36 points.
On Sunday the Ladies played a Stableford Competition for the Silver Street Motors Trophy. Jill Loader won with 39 points, Ros Shepherd was a close second with 38 points while Kathy Salway came third with 33 points.
The Bank Holiday Monday Stableford was well supported with Phil Saunders being overall winner with a superb score of 42 points, winning division 2 six points clear of second placed Barry Roberts on 36 points while Richard Clist, came third also with 36 points. Jack Jones won division 1 with 36 points while Philip Porter was second with 35 points and Adam Cornish came third, also with 35 points.
