OAKE Manor Golf Club held their annual ‘Friends and Family’ Foursomes’ Competition on Saturday which was played in pairs with one ball and each playing alternate shots.

Richard Clist and Peter Jeanes were the winners of the event with a total of 40 points, which pushed Graham McGann and Barry Roberts, also with a score of 40 points, into second place on count back. John Lowe and Mark Wolliscroft were just edged out in third place with 39 points.

Ashley Gaines, who recently holed in one at the 192 yard 14th hole during a Stableford Competition for the Andrew Gadd Challenge Cup, won the most recent Sunday Stableford Competition, scoring 30 points, continuing his good run of form. The next five players all had 36 points, but on count back, Bob Tye came second and Louis Kraucramp was third.

The Ladies played a Medal Competition for the Autumn Trophy on Sunday. Helen White was the winner of the event with a nett 72, Kathryn Salway was second with a nett 73, while Ladies Captain Daphne Priddy was third with a nett 74.

In the Ladies Medal Competition on the Tuesday, Ros Shepherd was the winner scoring a nett 71, while Ladies Captain Daphne Priddy was in the prizes for a second time in a week, coming second with a nett 73 while Pam Kinnear came third with a nett 74.

Meanwhile, the Ladies played a recent ‘4 Clubs and a Putter Competition.’ The overall winner was Ros Shepherd, winning division two with 31 points, with Sue Corlett, second, also with 31 points, and Pam Kinnear third with 37 points. Charlotte Bolton won division one with 29 points, Kathryn Smith came second, also with 29 points, while Jenny Musgrove was third with 28 points.
