WILLITON Jets under 8s and 9s joined dozens of other teams over the weekend to compete in Bishops Lydeard FC’s football tournament.

The under 8s played five games and grew with confidence with each game, while the under 9s entered two sides with one coming within a point of reaching the semi-finals.

All the players showed how well they have progressed over the past season, and they each received a trophy for taking part.

The club is now looking forward to next season with a coaching day planned in August with backing from the Somerset FA.
