WATCHET Town will be back in action on Saturday, September 13, when they play their first home game of the season in the Premier Division of the Uhlsport Somerset County Football League - against unbeaten leaders Nailsea United (3p.m.).

Watchet were forced to call off a first team game at Wells last month because they could not raise of side and have since made use of a new clause introduced by the league which allowed them to postpone fixtures and time to regroup.

It meant they have had three blank Saturdays - and they find themselves bottom of the table, albeit having played only two games.

Watchet club spokesman Nick Sully said: "Hopefully, we can field two sides on Saturday. However, it is a massive test for our first team because Nailsea beat us 9-2 at the beginning of the season."

Watchet Town Reserves are due to play away to Staplegrove Colts in Division Two of the Taunton Saturday League, having drawn 4-4 at home to Galmington Reserves in their only game so far.

Meanwhile, Minehead will be looking to end a run of four successive defeats in the first division when they play home to Keynsham Town Reserves.

Minehead have won only one match this season - 2-0 away on the opening day of the season to Winscombe who gained revenge by winning 3-1 at Irnham Road last weekend.

Despite their poor start, Minehead would expect to beat Keynsham who have picked up only one point themselves.

Taunton Saturday League fixtures include: Premier Division - Porlock v Redgate. Division One - Racehorse Rovers v Alcombe Rovers, Wembdon Reserves v Minehead Reserves. Division Two - Dulverton Town v Bridgwater Wolves Colts, Minehead Colts v Porlock Reserves, Staplegrove Colts v Watchet Town Reserves.

Somerset Sunday League, Division Two - Carhampton Rangers v Ash Park Rangers, Williton Sunday v Terry’s Panthers. Jim Jowett Cup - Allerford v AFC Dunster.
