WATCHET Town will be chasing back to back victories when they play away to Chilcompton Sports in the Premier Division of the Uhlsport Somerset County Football League on Saturday, November 30.
Watchet beat bottom side Bishop Sutton 1-0 at home last weekend, and club spokesman Nick Sully said: “It was important we got the three points. It was not very inspiring because the conditions did not help.
”To be fair, Bishop Sutton can count themselves unlucky not to have taken away at least a point.
“However, it will be a tough game for us at Chilcompton. They are fifth in the table and have games in hand on all the teams above them.”
Chilcompton go into the game having lost only two of their 11 matches, while Watchet have suffered 11 losses. Chilcomption did not play last weekend because of the appalling bad weather.
Watchet are lying just outside the relegation zone with only three teams below them - Worle, Timsbury Athletic and Bishop Sutton.
Meanwhile, top of the table Ilminster Town, who are nine points clear of the field, will be looking to consolidate when they play at home to Wells City Reserves who are lying seventh.
