MINEHEAD Under 18s provided an excellent performance to beat East Coker Cockerels 4-1 at home, showing attacking quality, determination and a strong team spirit throughout the match.

The scoring started in the 12th minute, with Haiden finding the back of the net left footed finish under the keeper to give the team an early lead. Just a minute later, Haiden was on the scoresheet again, this time with a well-taken header in the 13th minute to make it 2–0.

East Coker Cockerels responded in the 16th minute, pulling a goal back and giving themselves hope of getting back into the game. Minehead continued to work hard and remained composed.

After the break, Haiden completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot - a right footed finish into the bottom right corner in the 50th minute, restoring the team's two-goal advantage.

Just four minutes later a well weighted through ball from Haiden allowed Edward to add another goal in the 54th minute, putting the result beyond doubt and completing a convincing 4–1 victory.

This was a strong all-round display from the Minehead team, with everyone contributing in their positions. Khalib was in goal, providing an important presence between the posts. Lennon and Mason formed the centre-back partnership, working hard to protect the defence, while Charlie and Edward played at full-back and contributed both defensively and going forward.

In midfield, Jake and George provided width, looking to stretch the opposition and create opportunities. Sam L, Sam P, Zak and Harvey worked hard in central midfield, helping the team maintain possession, compete for the ball and control the game.
