WATCHET II kept up the pressure on Division Eight North leaders Temple Cloud II with an eight-wicket win at home to Wedmore II.
They elected to field and applied constant pressure from the start, restricting the visitors to 74-0 off the first 20 overs.
Wickets then started to tumble, with Archie Walsh getting the breakthrough wicket of R Gamblin for 40 then bowling fellow opener M Lee for 43.
Same Broadey came into the attack for the first time this year and took two wickets in three balls, and Nick Richards found himself on a hat-trick after two batsmen were caught off consecutive balls.
Then Arron Nunn produced some magic to bowl a three-wicket maiden before Richards finished off the innings for 150.
In reply, Watchet lost Peter Manley for four, but Richards came in to join Ed Jeromson and they both played aggressively.
After Richards was bowled for 36, Broadey smashed the ball around the park, winning the game with a six as he made 34 no.
Jeromson remained unbeaten at the other end, his knock of 59 taking him past 500 runs for the season.
Wedmore II: 150 (M Lee 43, J Gamblin 40, A Nunn 3-0, N Richards 3-38, S Broadey 2-28, A Walsh 2-30).
Watchet II: 154-2 (E Jeromson 59no, N Richards 36, S Broadey 34no).
