WATCHET are now in pole position for the Division One title following bottom side Winsford conceding their clash and Kilve’s 34-run defeat at home to Bagborough.
Bagborough’s score of 221-7 from their 40 overs was built around opener Jed Glanvill who made 106 from 117 balls with 19 fours and a six.
He was the aggressor and found useful support from Blake Jones and Craig Swinburne who made 21 and 35 respectively.
Five bowlers took a wicket for Kilve with J Taylor’s 2-32 from his nine overs the best.
The hosts were then dismissed with 21 balls to spare despite having reached 156-2 through Cris Taylor (54), Peter Stone (17), Rio Rock (22) and Jay Darrell (29) before a dramatic collapse as Mathew Raffill (5-19) and Jack Martin (3-50) shared eight wickets.
