Minehead continue their unbeaten run with a convincing win against Civil Service.

It took only 8 minutes for Minehead to open the scoring with a pass from Emily Nicholson leading to a goal from Morgan Cooper. The Minehead defence consisting of Sue Garwood, Hannah Cornish, Charlotte Hirons and Di Hobbs stopped any attack that Civil Service started, this left Janice Weetch, the Minehead goalkeeper, as a virtual bystander whose contribution was to shout encouragement to the rest of the team. Minehead doubled their lead via a reverse stick sweep by Amy Tisshaw however the team then conceded in the 28th minute. Just before half time, Minehead regained the initiative and their attacks grew stronger. A rebound off the post was followed in by Emily Nicholson for her first goal for Minehead making the score 3:1 at half time. Picking up where they left off, Amy Tisshaw neatly slotted in her second goal after an assist from Morgan Cooper. The midfield of Sarah Hayes, Rebecca Orpin, Fenella Buller and Kate Lancaster worked well together to continue creating chances for Minehead. Hannah Sparks then flicked the ball from the left hand post into the net before scoring Minehead’s next 3 goals in 4 minutes. Further goals from Jodie Delbridge, who had just returned from university, and Amy Tisshaw ended the game at 10-1.
