WEST Somerset's two sides in the first division of the Uhlsport Somerset County League - Minehead and Watchet Town - both won home games over the weekend.

Minehead are up to third in the table after beating Nailsea & Tickenham Reserves 2-0 at Irnham Road.

Matt Trump scored the first goal for Minehead in the opening half and top scorer Guy Burns hit a second after the interval, being set up by Rob Vickers following some sloppy defending by the visitors. It was Burns' eighth goal of the season.

Watchet Town moved up to tenth in the table after beating Stockwood Green 3-1.

Both Minehead and Watchet face away ties in the Somerset County League Cup for premier and first division clubs this coming weekend.
