Young players in the spotlight

BROMPTON Ralph Cricket Club celebrated the achievements of all their young players at the annual presentation evening.

All of the young teams have done well this season and flourished under new coach Dave Pursey.

The highlight was the Under 15s who won the Taunton & District Youth Cricket League without losing a match.

Individual awards were received by Brendon Poole as Under 15 Player of the Year, Benny Jessop as Under 13 Player of the Year and Luke Barrington, the Coach’s Award for Most Improved Player.

The retiring youth coach, Tommy Acock, was given a selection of gifts and a fond farewell to thank him for his many years of voluntary service.

Awards were handed out by club president Roy Takle.
