A SPECIAL concert and Drumhead Service was held in Wiveliscombe last weekend to commemorate the Battle of the Somme 100 years ago.

Nearly 200 people packed St Andrew’s Church in the town to hear a concert by Wiveliscombe Town Band and the Taunton Military Wives Choir, and take part in the service organised by Wiveliscombe Royal British Legion (RBL).

The event raised £505 for the RBL Poppy Appeal.
