WIVELISCOMBE Community Centre is holding a volunteer day to raise awareness of community efforts.

On Saturday, July 5, volunteers from the community centre and other charitable organisations will be offering locals the chance to find out more about their work in Wiveliscombe, the Ten Parishes area and beyond.

Whether attendees wish to “find out what goes on in the local community” or they just “have an interest in helping other to achieve their goals” the event is open to all ages.

The volunteer day will take place from 9am until 12pm with light refreshments available.

A registered charity, the Centre is host to over 500 events a year, from ballet to folk dance, local produce markets to educational sessions and private parties.
