A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a car crash on the A39 road between Cannington and Nether Stowey.

The two-vehicle smash happened at about 9pm on Saturday (April 12).

Officers who were called to the scene arrested a man, aged 30, who was later released on police bail while inquiries continue.

An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesperson said: “Thankfully, we do not believe anybody was seriously injured in the collision.”

The spokesperson appealed for anybody who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

They said: “If you witnessed the collision, or have any dashcam footage, please call 101 and quote reference 5225104332 to the call handler or contact us via our online form.”
