A WEST Somerset teenager attacked three people, including a police officer, and stole alcohol from a village shop, magistrates in Taunton were told on Thursday (August 27).
The Watchet youth appeared on three charges of assault by beating and one of stealing £11 of alcohol all arising from the incident in the Spar shop, in Williton, on May 14.
An order was made that no information can be published which would identify the youngster because the law shields criminals under the age of 18 years.
Chairman of the bench Valerie Castell referred the teenager to a youth offender panel for three months.
Mrs Castell also ordered him to pay £11 compensation, but no further financial penalty due to the limited means of the youth and his family.
